The Pinakothek der Moderne unites four different independent museums and collections (painting/sculpture, graphic art, design and architecture) under
one roof. Opening the borders between the genres offers the unique opportunity to convey architecture to a general public.
Serving as a meeting place for all those interested in architecture, the Architekturmuseum, containing the largest special collection of architecture in Germany, offers a range of exhibitions that is supplemented by publications, guided tours, lectures and other events. Historical and current topics dealing with architecture are well researched and presented in a way that is easy to understand in order to provide information and promote general interest in architecture. Architects and patrons of architecture will find a forum in the Museum of Architecture to exchange ideas and opinions.
