The seminar is to give a historical survey on the development and the changes of the architectural profession. It will deal with the training and questions concerning the profession, but also with bordering areas, such as the architect in literature, film and comic.

Subject of the seminar is the relationship between architecture and philosophy. The lecture will be held by the Architekturmuseum der TU München, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Winfried Nerdinger, in cooperation with the Department for Philosophy of the LMU, Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Vossenkuhl, as a bloc seminar at the Venice International University on the island of San Servolo.
