Summer School
APPLY NOW!
We warmly invite you to the international Summer School “Verwaldung Kunstareal,” taking place from August 25 to September 7, 2025, at the Architecture Museum of TUM in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich – as part of the exhibition Trees, Time, Architecture! We look forward to your participation!
This transdisciplinary Summer School brings together young designers and thinkers from around the world to reflect on the future of our cities – and to actively shape new ecological, social, and design-oriented perspectives.
At the center of the program stands the tree – not as a decorative symbol, but as a living being embodying time, growth, and duration. Instead of temporary interventions, the focus is on long-term, tangible transformations of public space. The Munich Kunstareal becomes a real-life testing ground for these ideas.

WHO CAN APPLY:
Students and recent graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, art, design, engineering, horticulture, arboriculture, and related fields – anyone who sees the city as a living, collective process.
PROGRAM:
Ten intensive days of collaborative work, complemented by a three-day excursion. Workshops, theoretical inputs, film screenings, walks, and open discussions will lead up to a final public presentation and exhibition.

FEE:
