Sommerküche CONVIVIUM
Despite their global nature, food systems are decided at our dining tables and within our food cultures. For this reason, the exhibition includes Sommerküche CONVIVIUM, which aims to host discussions on food production and the city. Located in front of the Pinakothek der Moderne, it extends the museum into an outdoor public space, creating a platform for various local organisations and initiatives related to food. Building on a longstanding tradition of a food stand as a typology for community engagement and bottom-up emancipation, Sommerküche aims to question Munich’s food politics.
Among participating institutions: Urbane Gärten München, anstiftung, BioDivHubs, Stadtpflanzen GmbH, Landfrauen Bayerischer Bauernverband, TUM Venture Lab, PROVIEH e.V., rehab republic e.V., Ciné Vélo Cité, FoodHub München Market e.G., Slow Food Deutschland e.V., Kartoffelkombinat e.G.
